Thank you to a kind anonymous donor!! \nWe will be doing the players party and early check-in on Saturday October 25th at Schoolhouse Brewing from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. We will have food & games and you will be able to pick up your player pack here (this is a kid friendly venue with some arcade games & board games available plus non-alcoholic drinks). Stay tuned to the pictures tab and our Facebook event page. \nLink: rebrand.ly/TPWDGCClinic \nPlease join us on the beautiful Winthrop University campus on Saturday\, October 11th\, for Throw Pink’s 12th event in conjunction with the United States Disc Golf Championship and the Throw Pink Women’s Disc Golf Championship. \nWomen and girls of all skill levels are welcome! \nIf you don’t have discs\, that’s not a problem. There will be plenty available to use during the event. Please bring water and wear comfortable shoes. \nWe will start with a quick introduction and warm-up\, followed by a disc golf instructional clinic (led by touring pros) that will get new players on their feet and refine the skills of those who have played before. We will wrap up the clinic and games by 4:00 pm \nAt that time\, the official event ends\, and participants are welcome to split up and play a fun\, casual round on a beginner-friendly temporary course or head over and watch the lead card action. \nThe spectator course is on the traditional golf course designed by Andrew Duvall\, the current USDGC and TPWDGC course designer. \nThe $30 fee ($20 for girls 12 and under) includes: \n– A fun clinic\n– A round of disc golf\,\n– A Throw Pink commemorative item\n– A Throw Pink Finisher Medal\n– Day Pass to the championship\n– A charitable donation to GoJenGo.org \nPlease arrive 15 minutes earlier than 1:30 pm to pick up your player pack so we can kick off the event promptly at 1:30 pm. \nIf you have a ticket to the championship\, you can enter any other entrance and just come to the spectator course area before 1:30 p.m. to check in. \nIf you do not have a ticket to the championship\, you can only enter through the Ivy Street entrance\, no earlier than 12:30 p.m. \nCLINIC GROUPS EXPLAINED: \nBeginner – This group is for our brand-new players who have just started playing\, have never played before\, or prefer being in a group of very new players for a more comfortable experience. \nIntermediate – You play and know how to throw. You need help to improve your throwing\, get tips on making more putts\, and practice new throws you haven’t learned yet. \nAdvanced – If you play in tournaments\, this is the group you need to be in\, and/or you play regularly\, and you have specific things you want to improve about your game. More distance\, get out of trouble shots\, putting in the wind\, etc…

We are kicking things off with a fun Halloween disc golf party featuring a nine-hole mini disc golf course around the brewery and disc golf pinatas. You’ll throw discs at the pinata to score the candy\, and we’ll have a speed gun so you can see just how fast you throw. Each hole will have a trick-or-treat station with a different candy at each. The event is from 1 pm to 5 pm. We’ll have a costume contest for adults\, kiddos\, and your pups. Raffle prizes every hour from 2 pm to 5 pm. A food truck will be on-site for those interested in more than just candy. DESCRIPTION:Junior Evolution is a PDGA sanctioned Juniors C-tier · PDGA-sanctioned singles tournament taking place at Westy Acres in Greenfield MA on Sunday October 20th\, 2024. \nAll ages\, skill and experience levels are welcome and encouraged to participate. \nWith Wally Wurld as our Eagle Sponsor we were able to bring the cost to play down to $7. \nRaffle tickets are available for $3. \n9:30 Meet and Greet (Check-in)\n10: 00 Players Meeting\n10:20 PLAY first round\n1:30 Awards for J06\, J08\, J10 players and raffle\n2:00 Start of second round\n5:00 Awards for J12\, J15 and J18-15 minutes after the last card finishes. \nPlayers pack is 1 custom event disc and one mini. The first 50 players registered will receive the custom disc. Additional items may be added to players packs based on registration levels and sponsorships. \nEvery child under the age of 13 must have a parent or legal guardian accompany them on the course. Most cards will be arranged by division. If you are a parent with multiple children playing\, please let me know by 10/13 and the cards can be planned to accommodate. \nLayouts:\nJ06\, J08: Single Round on Purple\nJ10: Single Round on Red\nJ12\, J15\, J18: Two rounds on Red \nIf you have questions or suggestions\, please reach out privately to sherrysboyd@gmail.com \nPlease be sure to register for the age that the player will be at the end of the calendar year\, or an older division if they wish to play the longer layouts. \nJuniors will compete for custom awards/discs. Plan to bring refillable water bottles and if you wish\, lunch. \nPlease do not allow economic reasons to prevent you from playing in Junior Evolution.
