Our second installment features the TPWDGC Champ Catrina Allen, who talks about her victory, what she has been up to this off season, and her favorite activities to do outside of playing Disc Golf! What do you remember most about your Throw Pink Championship Victory?
The most memorable moment from my Throw Pink Championship victory in 2022 was the circle’s edge putt I made on hole 17 during the final round to save bogey after missing the island. Playing at Winthrop has always been an honor. Although the Throw Pink Championship does not count as a PDGA Major, it will always be a Major Championship in my heart.
What are some Books/ TV shows/ Movies that you have been into lately?
I’ve been starting my day with a bible devotional that Jordan and Morgan Lynds (The Lynds Girls) sent me. I really love Reading!

As far as TV goes, I watch every Minnesota Vikings game and every Oklahoma University football Game! Although I’m loyal to the Vikings, I cheer on the Eagles because of Oklahoma University QB Jalen Hurts. He is by far my favorite professional athlete. His work ethic, ability to stay calm, and show no emotion on the biggest stage is so inspiring. The only TV show I’ve watched this off-season is Friday Night Lights. I guess you could say, I LOVE Football!! Haha!
What are things you enjoy during your disc golf off-season?
Austin (My boyfriend) and I enjoy playing traditional golf as a hobby outside of disc golf. I bought new irons and have been working on improving my swing. Other than that I like to read, work out, watch football, shop, spend time at church and with friends, and do what we can to give back and help in our community.
